He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Johnson and Nellie Johnson (Carlson); his wife LaVerne Johanna Thomsen; his brother Floyd Johnson; his daughter-in-law Suzette Johnson; his siblings-in-law, Gert Johnson, Gene Thomsen and Wilbur Thomsen; and his parents-in-law, John and Frieda Thomsen.
He is survived by: his sons, Lowell Johnson of Belden and Lenard "Skinner" Johnson of Laurel; his grandsons, Todd Johnson (Jill) of Correctionville, IA and Andy Johnson (Sara) of North Platte, NE; and his great grandchildren, Colten, Landon, Lauren, Abigail and Kenneth Johnson.
