She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Sutherland and Rose Sutherland (Urwiler); her husband Merlin Swanson; her son David Swanson; and her siblings, Dean Sutherland and Vivian Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Swanson (Deb) of Norfolk and Julie Thorell (Bill) of Cedar Falls, IA; her daughter-in-law Jeanette Swanson of Wayne; her grandchildren, Jason Swanson, Justin Swanson, Kristine Niemann (Mark), Jesse Swanson (Tricia), Joshua Swanson (Martina), Jacob Swanson (Mandi) and Jennifer Lucas; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Maddie, Keena, Korrina, Lindsay, Kaylee, Hope, Keanna, Brenden, Skylar, Payton, Sam, Jacob and Taylor; and her great great grandchildren, Keenan, Olivia and Natalie.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Hillcrest Care Center (702 Cedar Ave, Laurel, NE 68745). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the United Presbyterian Church - Laurel (401 Wakefield St, Laurel, NE 68745).
