With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rosamunde Hempel of La Vista, Nebraska, who passed away on September 14, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Rosamunde was predeceased by: husband Gunther Hempel; parents, Joseph Averdung and Caroline Averdung; and sister Margaret Altemuehle. Rosamunde is survived by: children, Hannelore Plisek (Jerry Kroeker), Gary Hempel (Kathy), Linda Hempel (Brad Kustka) and William "Bill" Hempel (Cindy); and niece Gabriele Schwarz. Rosamunde is also survived by 9 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren.
