He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Patricia; and his nephews, Ethan and Aaron Gaeta. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael J. Gaeta (Nancy), Debora M. Weideman (Greg) and Anthony Gaeta (Jay Stanley); his niece Lindsay Weideman-Thomsen (Kurt); his nephew Nicholas Weideman; his great-nephew Leyton Thomsen; and his close friends, Lori Zawada and Guadelupe Lupa Juarez.
