He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Atkins and Virginia Atkins (Stearley); and his sister Dolores Horton. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Greathouse of Scottsbluff; his children, David Atkins (Jean Gilbert) of Kimball, Lynn Pruett (Melvin) of Norman, OK and Renell Sinha (Raj) of Scottsbluff; his siblings, Kendall Atkins of Kimball and Mary Jane Samuels (Vern) of Polk, NE; his brother-in-law Don Horton of Greeley, CO; his grandchildren, Melany, Natasha, Kody, Marissa, Kevin, James, Quentin, Gideon and Ben; and his great grandchildren, Elyiahs, Brayson, Ay'sel, Kristella and Kylah.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Kimball Presbyterian Church, Kimball Community Foundation or Kimball Hospital Foundation.
