She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Knight and Mary Knight (Gragg); and her grandson Josh Christiansen. She is survived by: her son John Christiansen (Shelley) of Lemoyne, NE; her grandsons, Aaron Christiansen (Meridith), Andy Christiansen (Amanda) and Joel Christiansen; her husband Bob Christiansen; and her children, Robert C. Christiansen and Mary Christiansen. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Throughout her career, she was honored with numerous awards recognizing her contributions to education and her students.
