Alberta left this world on December 24, 2024 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Dorfmeyer and Gladys Dorfmeyer (Magnusen); her husband Phillip Hines; her son Stephen Hines; her grandson Karl Johnson; her sons-in-law, Thomas Karlovetz and Samuel Johnson; her parents-in-law, William and Mary Hines; her sister Marlene (Keith Schermerhorn); and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy (Marvin Hartung), Wilma (Charlie Paulson), Marion (Don Molden) and Joseph (Aletha Hines).
She is survived by: her children, Leslie Hines (Gayle) of Des Moines, Gwendolyn Seba (Jorge) of Cibolo, TX, Rowena Johnson (Russell Piippo), Jane Schaaf (Chris) of Sidney and Thomas Hines (Grace) of Prescot, AZ; her sister Janet Presley; her sister-in-law Nancy Kusel; and her niece Alberta. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (304 S Main St, Coleridge, NE 68727). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (123 N Main St, Coleridge, NE 68727).
