He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Huettner and Lorraine Huettner; his wife Dorothy Hall; and his sister Barbara. He is survived by: his children, Maxine (Mike McKern) and James Huettner Jr. (Penny Gentry). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be directed to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair or The Alzheimer's Association.
