He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harley Wilcox and Eva Wilcox; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Killion; his children, James Dean and Kathrine Sue Johnson (Mike) of Lincoln; his daughter-in-law Loretta Steiner (Kelly) of Lakeland; and his siblings-in-law, Neil Killion (Lynne) of Oregon and Mary Killion of Texas. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Kennard Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad or St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Blair.
