He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Rasmussen and Beverly Rasmussen (Behrens); and his stepfather Robert G. Slorahn. He is survived by: his wife Trish Rasmussen; his brother Robert "Bob" Rasmussen (Maureen); his siblings-in-law, Don, Veda Pritchard, Mike Pritchard (Lorna) and Mary Powell (Dennis) of Kenesaw; and his children, Kizzie, Ella and Gus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
