He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Powell and Audrey Powell (Roberts) of Kenesaw; his brothers, LaVern Powell, Merle and Charlette Powell; and his sisters-in-law, June Powell, Dale, Sharon Powell, Carroll Powell (Mike) and LaDonna Kimle.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Kimle; his children, Douglas Powell (Jeannie), Debra Adams (Greg) and David Powell (Theresa); his grandchildren, Nick Powell (Lisa), Shane Powell, Zach Adams (Stacy), Megan Stickles (Trevor), Josh Powell (Alexa) and Josiah Powell; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Lydia, Madeline Adams, Abraham, Theodore, Georgia Stickles, Grace, Gabe and Ben Powell; his brother Lee Powell; and his siblings-in-law, Duane Kimle and Beverley Powell. He is also survived by many nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
