He was predeceased by: his close friend Frances Argo; and his nephews, Brad Reeder and Dustin Epley. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Merrill of Kearney; his sons, Norman Merrill (Maryanne) of Davenport and Joe Merrill (Amber); and his grandchildren, Allison, Scottie and Elijah.
