He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Petijean and Dorothy Petijean (Woodruff); his wife Wilma Woodruff; and his siblings, Dorothy Gehrig, Keith Petijean and Charles Petijean.
He is survived by: his children, Tom Woodruff (Diane) of Denver, Jerry Woodruff (Peggy) of North Platte, Kathy Ulrich (Don) of Kearney, Dennis Woodruff of Holdrege, Denise Bird (Jay) of Ocklawaha, FL and Lissa Woodruff (Evan Kinney) of Kearney; his grandchildren, Phillip, Jeffrey and Melanie Woodruff; his children, Laura, Michael, Beth Woodruff, Scott Ewing, Christy McKeeman, Jenifer Hovland, Melissa, Brandon Ulrich, Brett Jorgensen and Ethan Kinney; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Ryan, Mariah, Connor, Christopher McKeeman, Breyden Geyer, Brenner Ewing, Ulrike Dosdall, Jocelyn Ulrich, Gabriel Jorgensen and Hudson Woodruff; his great great grandchildren, Melody and Silas Dosdall; and his sister Cheryl Ahrens (Ruben) of Arizona. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the Gayle and Wilma Memorial Scholarship Fund at Southern Valley High School or the Scholarship fund at First Presbyterian Church of Kearney.
