It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven C. Garringer of Kearney, Nebraska, born in Nebraska City, Nebraska, who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John Garringer; his brother Marty Garringer; and his granddaughter Thea Kay Garringer. He is survived by: his mother Nancy Garringer (Wondercheck) of Kearney; his wife Marni Garringer of Kearney; his children, McCrae Garringer (Dana) of Kearney and Maggie Heaton (Stephen) of Kearney; his grandchildren, Taelyn, Claire, Maren Heaton and Quinn Garringer; his brother Daniel Garringer (Paige) of Kearney; his siblings-in-law, Lanny Hanks (Stephanie) of Scottsbluff and Heidi Rosenthal (Paul) of Johnstown, CO; and his parents-in-law, Larry and Vickie Hanks of Kearney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to New Life Church Kingdom Builders or to the family for future designation.
