He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Longfellow and G. D. Longfellow (Norris); his son Kent; his brothers, Jack and David; and his nephew Michael Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Gay of Kearney; his sons, Vance (Kim) of Kearney and Jay of Minden; and his grandson Jaden of Kearney. He is also survived by three siblings.
