She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leonard Laflan and Mary Laflan (Bendix); her husband Harlan Compton; her son Andy (Julie) of Kearney; her brother Doug Laflan (Cathy) of Creighton, NE; and her siblings-in-law, Harry Compton (Betty) of Kearney, Herb Compton (Patty) of Omaha, Heather Morrow (Tom) of Mission, KS and Holly Hohnholt of Rochester, MI. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Kearney First Baptist Church.
