She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ruth E Martin Nicholas and John Thomas Nicholas; her grandparents, Alice K and George E Martin; her sons, John Fowler (Barbara) of Kearney and Robert Fowler (Beryl) of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Joshua Fowler (Charlene), Katy Wiens (Nate), Laura Stuht (Tony), Megan Merritt (Justin) and Ben Fowler (Caroline); her husband Gerald; and her siblings, John Nicholas, Jr. (Jack), Margaret Nicholas Bowen (Peg) and Benjamin Nicholas. She was also cherished by nine great-grandchildren.
