It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth A. Baer of Kearney, Nebraska, who passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Young (Dayton) and Leota Young; her husband Floyd Baer; and her son-in-law Greg A. Kerns. She is survived by: her children, Joyce Kerns, Gary Baer (Pam) and Marlene Mead (Steve); and her grandchildren, Krista Wolff (Jason), Gregory Kerns (Becky), Cynde Hammond, Eric Baer (Robin), Collin Baer (Stephanie), Clint Mead (Jennifer) and Clay Mead (Lindsay). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services (2421 Avenue A, Kearney, NE 68847). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Kearney YMCA.
