She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay Fagot and Olga Fagot (Gillette); and her daughter Karen Connick. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Kaps of Kearney; her children, Connie Mohatt (Mike) of Omaha, Carol Masek (Gary) of Valparaiso, NE, Steve Kaps (Wilma) of Arcadia, NE, Cheryl Kaelin (Rick) of St. Louis, MO and Kay Mayer (Ed) of Plano, TX; her son-in-law Terry Connick of Doniphan; her sister Floralee Ourada of Elm Creek; and her sisters-in-law, Anita Fagot of Lexington and Donevieve Ourada of Kearney. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to the Karen A. Connick Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o the Grand Island Community Foundation.
