He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Lambertus and Lucile Lambertus; his wife Patricia; his daughter Sherri Dionne; his stepson Brian Landis; and his sister Judy Silver.

He is survived by: his children, Kammy Rios of Nyssa, OR, Shane Lambertus of Riverdale, NE, Chris Edens of Omaha, NE and Missy Sweiss; and his siblings, Sandy Pflaster of Littleton, CO and Kenny Lambertus of Littleton, CO. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Kearney American Legion Post #52.
