He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wieland and Lillie Wieland (Fahnholz); his wife Betty Joan Littrell; his siblings, George Wieland, Bill Wieland, Darlene Wieland, Viola Wendland, Phyllis Wendland and Marlene Corder; and his sons-in-law, Ken Burton and Daniel Swatzelle.
He is survived by: his former wife Virginia Lea Morse; and his children, Katherine Wieland of Wichita, Kansas, Deborah Childs of Gretna, Nebraska, Tom Johnson (Carla) of Holdrege, Myrl Wieland (Cyndy) of Alda, Nebraska and Virginia Burton of Grove, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial has been established in Myrl's honor and the family kindly suggests they be made to the First Baptist Church in Oxford or to the local Southern Valley School food backpack blessing program.
