He was predeceased by: his parents, John J Lessig and Amanda Lessig (Kruse). He is survived by: his wife Joy of Kearney; his daughters, Mandy Mueting (Paul) of Kearney and Ruth Cheek (Kevin) of Lincoln, NE.; his grandchildren, Lydia of Kearney, Steven of Kearney, Edward of Kearney, Evan Mueting of Kearney, Addison and Vivian Cheek of Lincoln; and his siblings, Arnold Lessig of Fremont, NE, Donald Lessig of Lexington, NE, Delores Langenheder of Grand Island and Marilyn Paustian of Lincoln.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel-Faith Lutheran School in York or Nebraska Children's Home Society.
