Marcia J. Pierson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2025, at the age of 87, Marcia J. Pierson of Kearney, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Marcia departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marcia. Though Marcia may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Broom and Garnet Broom (Gross); and her husband Don Pierson. She is survived by: her children, Tim Ellenwood (Pam) of Funk, NE, Terri Luthy of Bullhead City, AZ, Greg Ellenwood (Julie) of Republican City, Michelle (Steve) and Minden; and her sister Joanne Spotanski (Larry). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Homes and Cremations (4115 Avenue N Pl, Kearney, NE 68847). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (4500 Linden Dr, Kearney, NE 68847).
