She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Norseen and Shirley Norseen (Jorgensen). She is survived by: her husband Doug Holmes of Kearney; her children, Will Holmes (Libby) of Lincoln, Andy Holmes (Heather) of Denver, Libbie Martin (Sev) of Denver and Sam Holmes of Chicago; her grandson Camden Holmes; and her siblings, Tammy Peterson (Bruce) of Minden and Brent Norseen of Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Rowe Sanctuary and The Glioblastoma Research Organization.

“I knew Marcie from her days of being a gracious hostess for P.E.O. meetings and because Andy and Libbie were near our daughter's age. Marcie was also the nurse once during a procedure my husband had performed at Heartland Surgery Center. No matter where you saw her in town, her smile was infectious, and her kindness radiated. She will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family, Mary Kommers and family”
