It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lynn E. Johnson of Kearney, Nebraska, born in Wausa, Nebraska, who passed away on November 12, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albin Johnson and Ethel Johnson (Lingren); his brother Willard Johnson; and his sister-in-law Eloyse Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Bernadene Johnson of Kearney; his children, David Johnson of Hastings and Stacy Buescher (Douglas) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Matthew Buescher (Sarah) of Lincoln and Sarah Hanus (Jacob) of Olathe, KS; his great grandchild Isaiah Hanus of Olathe, KS; his brother-in-law Loren Havekost (Dianne) of Blair; his nephew Dan Johnson (Donell); and his nieces, Stephanie Weissinger (Andy) of Omaha, Lori Quakenbush (Mike) of Omaha, Leigh Koehn (Aaron) of Omaha and Karen Howell (Joe) of Omaha.
Due to concerns over Covid 19, the family will not be present but encourages anyone that would like to pay their respects to please attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Lynn Johnson Scholarship at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, First Lutheran Church or Kearney Volunteer Fire Department.
