He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Scheidies and Fern Scheidies (Woodward); his wife Roberta "Bert" Meyer; his son Mark; his brother Robert; and his granddaughter Nichole.
He is survived by: his children, Keith (Carolyn), Randy, Rhonda and Tim; his grandchildren, Chris, Cassie, Tiffany, Crystal, Nick, Whitney, Anne and Sara; and his great grandchildren, Devon, Dane, Tori, Colton, Mason, Josh, Aniah, Ellery and Zeke. He is also survived by other relatives, friends.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Bethany Home in Minden; alternately any donation to a charity or a random act of kindness of your choice is a great way to honor LaVern's memory, as he was very charitably inclined.
