It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kent K. Maaske of Kearney, Nebraska, born in Lexington, Nebraska, who passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Maaske and Bonnie Maaske (Swanson); his grandparents, Alton, Alma Maaske, Oscar and Clara Swanson; and his uncle Robert Winkler.

He is survived by: his wife Teresa Poorman-Maaske of Kearney; his son Jacob Maaske of Kearney; his sisters, Jan Maaske of Lincoln and Julie Maaske (Chris Dooley) of Lincoln; his niece Brie Gorsett (Cody) of Bennington; his aunt Theone Winkler of Holdrege; his cousins, Lisa Havens of Holdrege and Scott Winkler (Tony Morrison) of Omaha; his friend Lynn Ploeger of Kearney; his parents-in-law, Albert and Lisa Poorman of Kearney; and his siblings-in-law, Ed and Mary Poorman of Kearney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Memorials are suggested to Kearney Community Theater or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
