We are sad to announce that on May 17, 2023, at the age of 82, John W. Payne of Kearney, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Payne (Sherer) and Alvie E Payne; his wife JoDell Payne; his daughter Ann Payne; his brother Charles Payne; and his grandparents, Warren, Ada Sherer (Campbell), John and Catherine Payne (Griffith).
He is survived by: his children, Linda Payne Kitt (Ron) of Kearney, Nancy Payne (Ben Goodkind) of Arlington, VA and Steven Payne (Lauren) of Jacksonville, NC; his grandchildren, Colby Payne (Pam) of Virginia Beach, VA, Noah Goodkind of Olympia, WA, Sam Goodkind of San Francisco, CA, Joshua, Rebekah Payne of Jacksonville, Cara Kitt Mullins (Pat) of Omaha, NE, Cory and Erin Kitt of Kearney; his great grandchild Penelope Payne of Virginia Beach; his brother Ron Payne; and his sisters-in-law, Nita Payne, Marian Payne of Kearney, Cynthia Peterson and Cheryl Peterson of Lincoln, NE. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces, cousins and close friends.
