John Robert Westesen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Robert Westesen of Kearney, Nebraska, who passed away on January 12, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Westesen and Hazel Westesen (Brainard); his daughter Debra Rockefeller; his grandson Scott Rockefeller; and his sisters, Beverly Johnson and Jeanine Nickel.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Anderson; his sons, David Westesen (Beth) and Jay Westesen (Lisa); his son-in-law Steve Rockefeller (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Sarah Haack (Ryan), Laura Pullmann (Aaron), Jacklyn Norman (Brian), Emily Bengtson (John), Jackson Westesen, Christian Westesen and Creighton Westesen; and his great grandchildren, Katherine, Brooke, Makenzie, Michael, Ryker, Martin, Charlie and Blake. He is also survived by relatives and close friends.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church-Minden (437 E 4th St, Minden, NE 68959).
