With profound sadness, we say goodbye to JoAnn Epping of Kearney, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. JoAnn left this world on January 16, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Johnson and Eleanor Johnson (Heidemann); her sister Janice Upson; her brother-in-law Margle Upson; her nephew Shane Upson; and her former husband Neil Epping.
She is survived by: her children, Kristi Carlson (Brad) of Minden and Tim (Tammy) of Kearney; her grandchildren, Jennifer of Kearney, Amie Bell (Kyle) of Oxford, Spencer Smith of Denver Colorado, Jon Epping of Albion, Tyann Urbina of Omaha, Tragg and Taelynn Taylor of Ravenna; her stepgrandchildren, Chelsea Carlson (Dan Newberry) of Omaha, Grant Carlson (Kenzie) of Vilnius and Bryce Carlson of Lincoln; and her great grandchildren, JJ, Quincy, Halle, Maddex, Kamden of Oxford, Tucker and Avery Urbina of North Platte.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services (2421 Avenue A, Kearney, NE 68847).
A memorial has been established in JoAnn's honor and kindly suggested to the family for future designation.
