He is survived by: his son Robert Earl Vahle; his daughter-in-law Brandy Ann Vahle (Boyer); his granddaughter Beatrix Ann Vahle of Greeley, Colorado; and his sisters, Carol Staab, Rose Gammon and Susan Chandler.
