With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen J. (Hickenbottom) Dorris of Kearney, Nebraska, born in Arnold, Nebraska, who passed away on November 4, 2021 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie A. Crow and Sophia Crow (Beyer); her husbands, Bill Hickenbottom and Gerald Dorris; her siblings, Eloise Walker, Burdette Deterding, Bob Crow and Darrell Crow; and her grandson Christopher Burns.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Hickenbottom (Kathy) of Kearney, Dick Hickenbottom (Joyce) of Holdrege and Sandra Remmenga (Dick) of Kearney; her sisters, Kate Henry of Callaway and Sharon Leonard of North Platte; and her grandchildren, Carrie Gumaer (Jeremy), Tim Hickenbottom (Jenn), Crystal Schuman (Jake), Chris Hickenbottom (Megan), Danielle Jauregui, Brad Remmenga (Pa Thoua) and Matt Remmenga (Ellie). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters in law and other extended family.
