He was predeceased by: his former wife Frances Novotny; his children, Gaylen and Nancy Schroeder; and his grandsons, Heath Andersen and Derek Schroeder.
He is survived by: his wife Adale Schroeder of Kearney; and his children, Betty Andersen (Wayne) of Elkhorn, NE, Glenda Steelsmith of Kearney, NE, Sandy Day (Dick) of Cozad, NE and Larry Schroeder (Rhonda) of Wilcox, NE. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
