He was predeceased by: his parents, Huel Powell and Betty Jane Powell (Edwards); his parents-in-law, Jay and Ethel Buente; and his half-brothers, Ken and Lee Sullivan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Luzy" Powell of Kearney; his sons, Jay Powell (Esther) of Framingham, MA and Scott Powell of Bothell, WA; his grandchildren, Andrew, Ben and Beth Powell; and his brother Chuck Powell. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
