He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Crandall; and his granddaughter Lori Webster (Smidt). He is survived by: his children, Georgene Smidt (Dale) of Wood River, Nebraska, Bob Crandall of Overton, Dick Crandall (Lani) of Alpine, California and Jim Crandall (Leslie) of Holdrege; his grandchildren, Brent Crandall (Becky) of Overton, Andi McLey (Craig) of Hastings, Nebraska, Teresa Smidt of Virginia, Stephanie Seng (Chris) of Fort Collins, Colorado, Alisa Williams (Cameron) of Alpine, California, Darcy Boyer (Chad) of Omaha, Nebraska and Julie Boyle (Logan) of Correctionville, Iowa; his grandson-in-law Kyle Webster of Chicago, Illinois; his great grandchild Gentry George Boyle; his great great grandchild Scarlett Crandall; and his grandson Christophe Briquet of Clarafond-Archine, France.
The graveside service for George will be live-streamed at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home Facebook page Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic; current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for Faith-Based Services will be followed.
A memorial has been established in George's honor, and kindly suggested to the Wilcox United Methodist Church or the Wilcox Community Foundation.
