He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuel Karnatz and Helen Karnatz (Koci); and his stepfather Myrl Cook. He is survived by: his son Daniel Karnatz of Austin, Texas; and his siblings, Jerry (Sandra) of Schuyler, Lyle (Deb) of Edgar, Nebraska, Alleen Ernst (Karnatz) of Magnolia and Diann Gentry (Karnatz) of Fairfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
