She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmo Wheeler and Genevieve Elda Kimball (Dinsmore); her daughter Kimberly Gibbons; her siblings, Monty (Midori Kimball), Janelle Nenneman and Glenda; her brothers-in-law, Keith Proctor (Meredith), Ralph Gessert and Larry Strong; and her pet Gretel.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey David; her significant other Doug Lacy; her daughter Daniece Waggoner; her children-in-law, Morris Hansen of Castle Rock, CO, Shona Waggoner of Kearney and Mike Gibbons of Kearney; her grandchildren, Ross Gibbons (Kearney), Ashley Waggoner (Lincoln), Thea Gibbons (Kearney), Madie Waggoner (Kearney) and Colin Waggoner (Kearney); her sisters, Mickie Gessert of Harlan, IA and Debbie Strong of Ottumwa, IA; and her brother-in-law Jim Nenneman (Terry). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Live On Nebraska, 3867 Leavenworth St., Omaha, NE 68105, in Ellen's name. For her daughter, Kimberly, organ donation was an important part of her medical care, so this is a special organization to Ellen.
