She was predeceased by: her parent Isabelle Mess (Carr); and her husband Joe. She is survived by: her sons, Greg DeLaet (Marlene), Doug DeLaet (Arlene) of Odessa, NE and Brian DeLaet (Maki) of Wheat Ridge, CO; her siblings, Gertie Lee of Wheat Ridge, CO, Shirley Scott (Neal) of New York City, NY, Leslie Mess (Rosemary) of Rogers, AR and Leroy Mess of Wheat Ridge, CO; her grandchildren, Jim DeLaet (Jeny) of Herndon, VA, Nathan DeLaet (Melissa), Noelle Wegner (Elliot), Caleb DeLaet (Afnan) of Denver, CO, John DeLaet (Tessa), Drew Chancellor, Noah DeLaet of Wheat Ridge, CO, Cole Chancellor of Kearney, NE, Megan DeLaet (Tyler Adelman), Sarah DeLaet of Fort Collins, CO and Anna DeLaet of Denver, CO; and her great grandchildren, Keith DeLaet, Jayson DeLaet, Kollin DeLaet, Kyle DeLaet, Frankie Wegner, Louie Wegner and Ellis DeLaet.
