He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Bud" Stubbs and Doris Stubbs (Erthum); and his siblings, Arly Stubbs and Jackie Helleberg. He is survived by: his former wife Kathleen Tschudin; his wife Margaret Showman of Kearney; his children, Jason (Mandy) of Kearney and Ashley Granger of Lincoln; his brother Keith Stubbs of Grand Island; his grandchildren, Ashton Granger, Jake Stubbs, Cameron Granger, Mallory Stubbs, Barnabas Showman, Amos Showman and Maris Showman; his stepchildren, Matthew Showman (Sarah) of Fayetteville, AR and Brianne Showman of Gilbert, AZ; and his mother-in-law Velma Gerken of Ohio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
He was a past president of the Nebraska Community College Association and a member of the Central Community College foundation.
