He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Goergen and Marian Goergen; his grandparents, Nick, Anna Goergen, Adolf and Zita Schmidt; his stepdaughter Sarah Kennedy; and his nephews, Adam and Wayne Dale.
He is survived by: his wife Caramella; his daughters, Tina Torres, Heather Rose and Jodie Lewis; his grandchildren, Roby, Timmy, Jamey, Cody, Zane, Chase and Ayla; his great grandchildren, Tallyn, Gabe, Wren, Karsen and Kiezlee; and his siblings, Dorothy Smith, Carla Fitzer, David Goergen and Diane Dale. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the Blaack Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to B.A.C.A.N dog rescue, honoring Dan's lifelong love for animals.
