He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Sovereign and Edith Sovereign; his wife Elaine; his granddaughter Dusty Klimek; his brother Gordon Sovereign; and his grandmother Mary Eley (Sovereign).
He is survived by: his children, Ken (Marcia Sovereign), Sue (Ed Furman), Kathy (Ron Eckloff) and Nancy (Dave Klimek); his grandchildren, Kristin Adkins (Sovereign), Amy Sovereign, Brent Sovereign, Luke Furman, Andrew Furman, Abby Haller (Furman), Emily Jameson (Eckloff), Jill Turner (Eckloff), Bethany Rouse (Eckloff), Joel Eckloff, Ed Klimek, Allison Klimek and Tara Klimek; his great grandchildren, Evan Adkins, Jacob Adkins, Jenna Adkins, Alexis Haller, Wyatt Haller, Evander Furman, Owen Furman, Kayla Jameson, Zachary Jameson, Alyssa Jameson, Olivia Jameson, Lily Turner, Wesley Turner and Everett Rouse; and his stepgrandchildren, Ellisa, Tatyana, Talon and Hayden Klimek.
