He was predeceased by: his parents, Josie Dorothy Washburn (Channel) and Alva Arch 'Dutch Channel; his children, Bobby D. Channel and Dorothy Adels (Briel); and his siblings, Anna May, Bobbie, Harold and Alva Channel.
He is survived by: his spouse Alana Sheets (Beck); his children, Billy Channel (Sherry) of Kearney and Barbra Thompson (Neal) of Dalton; and his siblings, Bettie Draper, Mary Jane Channel of Lincoln and Jimmie Channel of Lincoln. He is also survived by several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
