He is survived by: his stepdaughter Susan; his wife Lou Casey; his children, Kurt Mitchell (Kate Fly) of Overton, Dave Mitchell (Connie) of Elm Creek, Sue Worthing of Kearney and Jan Mitchell of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Casey Mitchell (ReNae), Lea Griese (Bobby), Sam Pfigler (Chris), Mitch Mitchell (Lisa), Kara Longshore (Jason), McKenzie Bertrand (Chris), Ashley Akehi (Kaz), Brad Worthing (Sadie), Sarah Worthing, Andrew Widman (Christine), Austin Widman (Andrea Contreras), Allie Wroblewski (Nick) and Delaney Zastrow; his siblings, Bob Mitchell (Pat) of Elm Creek and Connie Olsen (Bob) of McCook; and his siblings-in-law, Lynn Casey (Marty) of Overland Park, KS and Karen Shelmadine (Lannie) of Alliance. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
