She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Boyd and Agatha Boyd; her husband Max Hecht; her brother Neal Boyd; and her son Michael Pearson.

She is survived by: her former husband William Richard Pearson; her son Patrick Adams of Lincoln; her stepchildren, Irvin Hecht of Lincoln and Hylah (Keith Hammons) of Weeping Water; her sister Kathy (Dean Clark) of Lincoln; her sister-in-law Joyce Boyd of Johnson Lake; her grandchildren, Eddie Hecht, Erin Hammons-Feller and Dr. Susan Hammons; her great grandchildren, Dallas and Josie; her niece Amanda Danico Pollack; her great-niece Sydney; and her great-nephew Jake. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was diagnosed with Parkinson and Dementia in 2017.
