She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Piper and Velma Piper (Ruhl); her husband Henry Rieken of Johnson; her daughter Cheryl Gerdes (Wayne); her brothers, Marion (Margaret) and Kenneth Piper; her brother-in-law Darrell Gerdes; her parents-in-law, Rieke and Tina Rieken; and her siblings-in-law, Adolph Rieken, Geiko Rieken (Dora), Harvey Hahn, Leroy Fletchall (Janet), Don Harms (Alice), Ann Wagner, Larry Lotter, John Rieken, Marvin Green, Ray Thomsen and Harley Goings (Frances).
She is survived by: her son Craig Rieken (Gina); her grandchildren, Trisha Kelsay (Joel), Tonya Kramer (Chris), Brian Gerdes (Natalie), Shari Aue (Craig), Ashley Caspers, Amber Thompson (Casey), Cody Kite and Dawn Blex (Travis); her siblings, Doris Gerdes and Jack Piper (Linda); and her sisters-in-law, Peg Thomsen, Tena Green, Lena Lotter, Irene Rieken and Irene Piper. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
