He was predeceased by: his parents, Rohland Balke and Emma Balke (Rohrs); his daughter Angie Potts; his brother James Balke; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Balke, Eugene, Dalen Boslau and Edwin Roleder.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Joan (Boslau); his children, Perry Alan and Angela Joy; his son-in-law Steve Potts (Gretchen Gissel) of Walton, NE; his grandchildren, Matt Potts (Megan), Jason Potts, Seth Balke (Anna Peters) and Elisabeth Balke; his great grandchildren, Myers Potts, Hays, Maxl and Sloane Gorham; his sister Bonnie Roleder; and his siblings-in-law, Darlene Finkner (Arnold), Dennis Boslau (Joyce) and Sue Boslau. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
