It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lee Schmidt of Jansen, Nebraska, born in Plymouth, Nebraska, who passed away on April 4, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schmidt and Ilda Schmidt (Sellenrick); his sister Phyllis; his sisters-in-law, Lillian Schmidt and Barbara Nommensen; his niece Janet McGrane; and his nephew Todd Nommensen.
He is survived by: his son Scott (Kimberly) of Olathe; his friends, Allen, Bob, Richard and Wayne; his wife Marge; his daughters, Heidi Orth (Robert) of Beatrice and Heather Lloyd (Korey) of Blue Springs, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jonas Lloyd, Rebecca, Sara Schmidt and Sienna Orth; his stepgrandchildren, Braden and Brynley Chrest; his brother Darold Schmidt; and his brothers-in-law, Dennis Nommensen (Joan) of Wisconsin, Bob Nommensen of Wisconsin, Ron Nommensen (Lois) of Wisconsin and Dave Nommensen (Laurie) of Wisconsin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials are suggested St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the church elders in charge.
