He is survived by: his wife Carlene Herfel; his daughters, Kimberly Behrends (Chris) of Omaha, NE, Kristy Bolek (Adam) of Alliance, NE and Angela Peitzmeier (Randy) of Diller, NE.; his grandchildren, Chase, Mason Behrends, Rasine "Roz" Bolek, Makenzie and Wyatt Peitzmeier; his sister Susan Cooney (Tom) of Hollister, MO; his siblings-in-law, John Herfel (Marvel) of Beatrice, NE, Delmar Herfel of Cozad, NE and Loretta Epp (Gerald) of Brewster, NE.; and his parents-in-law, Carl and Etta Herfel.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home (2414 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
