He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gill and Mary Gill (Merchant); his son Leonard; and his siblings, Florence Branch, Mary Ann Mahon, Patricia Bateman, Harold Gill, Don Gill and Dave Gill.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Hidalgo of Jackson, NE; his children, Robert Gill (Jackie) of Jackson, NE, Jeanie Hohenstein (Kevin) of Jackson, NE, Bernie Gill (Lindy) of Jackson, NE and Ginger Gill (Doug Jones) of Sioux City; his siblings, Jack Gill of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Mike Gill (Joyce) of Sioux City, Joseph Gill (Mildred) of Jackson, NE and Rose Murphy of Southwick, MA; and his grandchildren, Patrick Gill (Julie), Anthony Gill (Sara), Jesika Pinney, Greggory Gill (Kristina), Emilye Gill, Melissa Hohenstein (Mark), Kyle Hohenstein (Laura), Branden Hohenstein (Alyna), Nevaeh, Samantha Hamar (Brandon), Thomas Gill (Holly), Elexia Gill (Branson), Breanna Gill (Brogan), Justin Sininger (Josie) and Carissa Sininger (Jarrod). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
