The memory of Ronald E. Blume of Indianola, Nebraska, who passed away on April 23, 2025 at the age of 73, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his father Bernard Blume; his father-in-law Clarence Stritt; his stepfather Charles McConville; his grandparents, Theodore, Elizabeth Blume (Kitten), Walter Shirley, Marie and Cecil Brashears; his brothers-in-law, Tom Stritt and Dave Fjelseth; and his nephews, Greg and Kevin Blackman.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Stritt of Catherine's Catholic Church; his children, Anne Gahn (Doug) of Lawrence, KS and Paul Blume (Tammy Unger); his grandchildren, Allison Batenhorst (Bryce), Melissa Wright (Dane TenBensel), Austin Blume (Kelsey), Brittany Gohl (Seth), Tayler Stamm (Kohl), Emmaly Wright, Alma, Tanner Unger and Brett Blume; his great grandchildren, Haley, Bennett Batenhorst, Jamisen, Tripp, Cooper, Murphy TenBensel, Emry, Corbin Blume, Kolbi Stamm, Ryett and Hallie Gohl; his mother Jane Blume McConville (Shirley); his mother-in-law Alyce Mae Stritt of McCook; his siblings, Tim Blume (Norma), Lorie Crocker (Bill) and Steven Blume-Hearn (Doug) of Warren, PA; and his in-laws, Carol Blackman, Nanci Stritt, Marilyn Slater (Jerry), Nancy Stewart, Denis Stritt (Doris), Kathy Osterman (Jeff) and Ron Stritt (Connie). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church (815 D St, Indianola, NE 69034). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family of Ron Blume for future designation.
